Position Overview

The Vice-President Events works alongside the executive team to establish the events for the year, including social events, charitable events, Enactus exposure events and events related to competitions. The role ensures that the team remains engaged and builds team-bonding events where possible.


Responsibilities & Duties

  • Build relationships with charities and be aware of local event opportunities

  • Make connections with organizations looking for team volunteering

  • Plan events and create a year-plan, utilizing the summer to make connections with charities for team events

    • Ideally, rotate a social event and a charitable event each month

    • If not possible to plan for the entire year, plan for the first semester in the summer, and have plans for second semester ready before the end of first semester

  • Connect with the team where needed to continuously develop events planning and programming

  • Develop team and delegate tasks as needed for the year’s events

  • Work with VP Marketing to establish marketing plan for each of the events

  • Execute and plan each event, with at least two weeks notice to the team

  • Plan events surrounding Regionals and Nationals, including any team dinners and/or team-building events

  • Create and plan itinerary for competitions

  • Work with other Enactus teams to create larger events programming where needed

  • Create and execute plans that arise throughout the year, and support the executive team’s endeavors and events

  • Work with executive team to determine events schedule for Enactus Exposure

    • Examples: Fall Kick-off, Winter Kick-Off, Enactus Showcase

  • Train and transition successor


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Demonstrates clear knowledge and passion of the Enactus values

  • Must be passionate about Enactus, and exhibit this passion during the interview process

  • Be excited and have some knowledge of events planning

  • Be driven, organized, dedicated and accountable

  • Must be a team player, and ensuring there is motivation with the team and excitement for events

  • Have a drive to be social and help people

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and be able to find opportunities
